Illustration
(Wallpaper, promotional mugs, stationery, advert headers, website banner)
The origins of the firm started as Robert Matthews & Co. in 1851.
During the Second World War the company became known as Walker Croft and Jarvis.
In 1983 a lettings agency partnership between Michael Alan Sears and David John Comley began, taking the name of Sealeys from both partners' surnames.
The Estate agents finally became known as Sealeys and remains the oldest leading Estate Agents for residential and commercial property sales and lettings in Kent today.
The company required a unique backdrop/mural to adorn the back wall of their Kent Offices. The theme was to represent Kent over the years, its past, present and future, tying in with the longevity of the business.
Working with the team to gather the relevant information and photographic examples I would need to produce such an illustrative composition.
I created stylised illustrations from photographs and historical archives to represent each of the elements whilst all the while considering the layout and composition of the finished piece.
A rather large illustration, that took around 50 hours to produce. This illustration was then transformed into a wallpapered mural for the office, along with being downsized for us on promotional mugs, a website banner, stationery and newspaper headers.
