Studio nine body art

Visual Identity Development, Design, Print, Website, Design and Planning for Social Media, 

(Business Cards, Brochures, Labels, Leaflets, Posters, Website, Social Media Planning and Post Image designs)

The Company

Studio Nine Body Art was founded in 1999 by Rob Morris and born out of his passion for piercings.


Based in Southend, Essex, Studio Nine Body Art provides a wide range of ear, facial, oral and body piercings, using needle or dermal punch techniques and are specialists in Daith, Micro-dermal, Punch and advanced piercings.


They have pierced more than 71,000 holes and like any art from they pride themselves on creating a custom look for their clients.


They also sell professional body jewellery made from the highest quality, medical grade titanium for optimum healing and their studio now also features three tattoo artists, making them an obvious choice locally for all your body art enhancements.

The Brief

Studio Nine had been an established part of Southend High Street for many years before I met its founder Rob.

Its location had lent itself to a steady footfall of clients and the studio over the years had participated in 'some' marketing activities such as leaflet drops and the odd newspaper advert, but not much else.


The only assets they held was a logo and key colour they could use and Rob was fully aware that he needed help to lift Studio Nine's profile and communications across the board.


After an initial consultation with Rob, I advised on the potential products and materials he may consider employing within the business, including a website with the facility to make online bookings and improving his Social Plan and content along with practising brand consistency throughout his marketing materials.

THE Fulfilment:

As a result of our meeting it was decided that the Studio needed several of the advised products for its new suite, these would include:


  • Logo redrawn and uplifted to incorporate gold
  • Brochure and price-list 
  • A professional aftercare leaflet
  • Review us cards
  • A-board with posters
  • Generic A5 leaflets
  • Internal posters / signage
  • Bottle Labels
  • External Signage
  • Website Design & Build
  • Social media plan and content creation 

THE PROCESS:

Working with the logo and key colour assets they already held, I developed the logo slightly, introduced a consistent font, sourced imagery to add  to the assets library, Along with assisting with copy writing and as always exploring potential solutions for the look and feel of this new marketing suite.


Starting with the printed in-house materials, a comprehensive pack of marketing tools was created. On further research and working closely with the client a booking platform for their services was decided upon and the website design and build carried out.

THE RESULT

Studio Nine now have a new look and feel to their communications along with some new brand guidelines. 


The companies marketing suite is now consistent throughout all of the marketing touch points. From their review cards to their acquisitions brochure and website. www.studionine-bodyart.co.uk


They've received more attention and great feedback from their followers and are seeing a steady increase of new clients. 


I am currently working with Studio Nine, mapping out a series of ideas for a Social Media Plan, and assisting with content creation, helping to get this businesses digital presence inline with its newly refreshed image.
