Havens Hospices

Fair Havens Hospice in Westcliff, Essex is the only hospice in South East Essex which cares for adults and children with complex and incurable conditions; providing respite, symptom control and end of life care.

Opened in 1983 it has since cared for over 25,000 adults and children across Southend, Castle Point and Rochford, as well as their families. 

They must raise over £207,000 each week to be there for everyone who needs them and they rely, mainly on donations, their many fundraising activities and community support to achieve this.

Being involved and communicating with the local community is essential and the events and ways people can donate needs to be enticing, clear and available.

I have provided freelance design services to Havens Hospice for over a decade.

Working closely with their brand guidelines and their Events, Legacy and recently the Lottery Teams, designing purchasing print and rolling out campaigns over a wide range of communication materials that are focused towards encouraging participation, increasing donations, supporters and ensuring their fundraising success.

From event leaflets, posters and booklets, to outdoor banners, event and display materials, email-shots, marathon route maps and participant packs, info-graphics  and illustration. It has been a pleasure to work with such enthusiastic and caring teams.
